The Ford Performance Vehicles company was formed and the FPV brand name was created to replace the FTE and Tickford name that the previous performance models carried. A restructured range was developed based on Ford’s BA Falcon and the top of the range vehicle available was the GT-P.

Ford Performance Vehicles is a well known Australian Muscle car brand that has many models available. When the FPV name was introduced the entry level GT came with many more options than a XR8 as well as getting the upgraded Boss motor which had the American Mustang Cobra R Heads on it giving out 290 kilowatts. Other models were the up spec GT-P, The Super Pursuit which was the FPV Ute, and the F6 which was the FPV 6 cylinder Turbo entry. The F6 featured the Upgraded XR6 Turbo motor, which once FPV had done their work to it, it produced 270 kw.

The updated BF FPV models featured all new styling on the outside as well as extra comforts on the inside. The new updated body kits and the bigger FPV wheels gave the cars an angrier look. The interior featured upgrades which included upgraded leather interiors throughout all the FPV range as well as push to start through all of its models. When the BF update was bought put FPV introduced their first ever FPV Territory which was named the F6X. The F6X came standard with the 270kw FPV turbo motor, Brembo Brakes, Larger Wheels, Full White and Black Leather interior, and many other luxuries. Only limited amounts of these Territories’s were made and are getting quite rare to find.

When Ford released the new FG range, FPV totally re designed the look of them. The entry level FG FPV was the GS which had the 290kw V8, as well as many FPV features. The Big Daddy GT and GT-P were given the 5.4L Boss 315 to power them along. The super pursuit Ute’s were also given the same engine. FPV’s turbo entry, the F6 now had a 310kw Turbo which created unbelievable amounts of power and Torque. With the engines being upgraded from the previous B series models there was unbelievable across the entire range! FPV has now gotten rid of the 5.4L V8 and are now using a supercharged 5.0L Coyote motor out of the American Mustangs which produce 335kw and can easily produce more with minor modifications.
